Bruna Seve Patkó is the founder and creative mind behind Lokalwear. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Bruna studied at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York where she received honors degrees in Fashion Design as well as Merchandise Management, and at Instituto Polimoda in Florence. Bruna started her career in fashion in the beachwear industry in her native Brazil and worked with a variety of luxury fashion brands (Tod’s, Celine) in New York until following her heart to Budapest in 2003.
She has worked on the re-launch of the former communist cult brand, Tisza Cipő and the development of the young Nanushka fashion label. Shifting away from the fashion world, Bruna joined The Garrison Group, a Budapest-based international strategic marketing consultancy company working as a consultant regionally across different industries. Her latest position was as country marketing manager for Nike in Hungary.
Bruna’s past experiences, her love for art and fashion combined with Hungary’s rich folk art, architecture and history are continuous sources of inspiration, and led to the idea of LOKALWEAR.
Bruna lives in Rio de Janeiro where she lives with her husband Gábor.
